Technical Specialist

We are currently looking to add an experienced and technically savvy Technical Specialist to work out of our Cambridge office.​ This individual will be a part of a technical team, and will be responsible for executing project deliverables timely and efficiently on a large array of IT projects for a variety of customers, while ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and communication.   The project based work will include system deployments, VMware deployments, Exchange migrations, networking integration and more!   There is a component of this role that will focus on maintaining and supporting existing customer infrastructure and support. 

Duties & Responsibilities

Data Security

• Maintains security systems regularly

• Defines clear, measurable security procedures

Implementation

• Creates implementation plans

• Provides support during implementations

• Coordinates implementations with others

• Provides end-user training

System Configuration

• Interprets project specifications according to Client needs

Technical Support

Troubleshooting

Desired Skills & Experience

Certification and Education

• VMWare VCP and/or MTICP: Enterprise Server certified

• Bachelor’s Degree, College Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on Windows 2003/2008 experience

• 5+ years of consulting experience or equivalent

• 5+ years of hands on backup strategy deployment and management (Preferably ARCserve 12+)

• 5+ years of hands on deployment and management of Exchange 2003/2010 and spam protection technologies

• 5+ years of hands-on Virtual environment experience (VMWare and/or Hyper-V)

• 5+ years of hands-on deployments and management of networking gear (Preferably Fortinet and HP products)
