Technical Team Lead
Xylotek Solutions is looking for an inspiring, motivated Technical Team Lead to join our team. This individual will be working out of a client location in Stratford, ON and will lead a team of 3 or 4 technicians. The technical Team Lead will deliver project requirements, while ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and communication. They will also provide leadership and direction to their team, as well as technical guidance. The project based work will include system deployments, VMware deployments, Exchange migrations, networking integration and more! This role will also focus on maintaining and supporting existing customer infrastructure.
Duties & Responsibilities
Project Management
• Project planning and decision making
• Creates implementation plans
• Obtains project approval from all affected parties
• Provides support to both the client and your team during implementations
• Coordinates implementations with the client
• Provides end-user training
Team Lead
• Work in a hands-on capacity with team to address and resolve technical issues as they arise
• Maintain a keen awareness of the status of all service issues and projects. Inform manager where applicable to ensure 100% service delivery and customer satisfaction
• Mentor and coach technical team resources involved in the definition/review of scopes, resource plans, project/service estimates.
• Be involved with technical team resources with task assignments , prioritization, and escalation
• Technical point of contact for the client
• Workflow consultation for internal/external workflows
• Manage and complete support tickets relating to your team unit
• Assist your technical team with issue resolution and escalation
Data Security
• Defines clear, measurable security procedures
• Implements tools to prevent unauthorized access
System Configuration

Desired Skills & Experience
Certification and Education
• Bachelor’s Degree, College Diploma or equivalent
Experience will Include
• 5+ years in a technical leadership role providing guidance, motivation and mentorship to team members.
• Project management – technology deployments
Experience may Include
• Out-sourced consulting experience
• Windows computing environment deployment, management and monitoring
• Backup strategy deployment and management (Preferably ARCserve 12+)
• Deployment and management of Exchange 2003/2010 and spam protection technologies
• Virtual computing environments (VMWare and/or Hyper-V)
• Deployment and management of networking gear including firewalls, load balancers, routers.
• Deployment and management of storage area networks and disk arrays
