Xylotek to Hold Open House with Technology Presentations at New Offices in Cambridge

September 7, 2010, CAMBRIDGE, ONTARIO – Xylotek Solutions, a full-service, IT consulting firm, is holding an Open House with an afternoon of technology presentations by its key partners. The Open House will take place September 16th from 2-8 p.m. at the company’s new Cambridge head office, 3-600 Jamieson Parkway, which is at Townline Road and Highway 401.

At the Open House, Xylotek partners CA Technologies, IBM, Barracuda, and Fortinet will conduct presentations on virtualization, integrated threat management, and Green Computing. Other presentations being held at the Open House are:

  • Virtualization from a product-agnostic perspective by Ingram Micro,
  • Complexity of managing today’s virtual platforms by Tom Mills, CEO of eG Innovations
  • How to leverage technology and systems for growth by ActionCoach.

Also appearing at the Open House to welcome Xylotek to Cambridge will be: Cambridge Mayor Doug Craig, Greg Durocher who is CEO of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce, and members of the local town council.

The Open House also marks the 5th anniversary of Xylotek. The company was established in 2005 by two systems engineers – Douglas Grosfield and Michael Topp. A third partner, Chris Pickard, joined them one year later. Over its brief history, Xylotek has won recognition as one of Canada’s fastest growing companies. For two years running, it made the PROFIT HOT 50 list, which is the definitive ranking of Canada’s Emerging Growth Companies. The ranking, published in PROFIT Magazine and online at PROFITguide.com, ranks young firms by two-year revenue growth.
